Traditional GALETTE Made in Poitou ( Located in the great southwest of France) made according to the authentic traditional recipe as it was made on farms, incorporating alcohol into the dough to improve conservation. I chose Noteworthy Gin (distillery located in Oliver BC) for its finesse and subtle aroma, but also because its two specialties, dear to my heart, together now share the same territory. Originally, this thick and compact GALETTE was broken with a punch to be able to share it, hence its name “Broyé”("Crushed").
Ingredients: European style cultured creamery butter, all-purpose flour, sugar, alcohol
